We have the answers
How often should I service my suspension?
Regular maintenance of your products will increase its performance and lifespan. It is recommended that your fork and shock receive a Full Factory Service every 125hrs or yearly - which ever comes first. Fork lower leg maintenance and shock air sleeve maintenance every 30hrs is highly advised if racing.
Further explained - Suspension product will require more frequent servicing the harder they are worked. For those who ride lift-accessed DH, Park, or Extreme Freeride or in extremely wet/muddy or dry/dusty environmental conditions where trail debris is sprayed onto the fork or shock while on the trail, or e-mtb's, ELRO encourages riders to perform maintenance earlier than recommended above as needed.
Is there an advantage to getting my fork serviced by you?
In-house technicians are factory trained and authorised by Formula. Moreover, all services include a full teardown and rebuild - ensuring that no seal or component is left unchecked. We only use genuine Formula parts and take care of any warranty concerns, all parts are carried in stock - in the highly unlikely scenario we don't have the part in stock we will strip a new / unused fork /shock and ensure you don't miss anymore riding than absolutely nesscerey.
What should I do with my fork/shock before sending it?
For Forks: Please clean the fork, remove all unnecessary items (ie: crown races, brake mounts, etc ).
For Rear Shocks: Please clean the shock, remove all unnecessary items (ie: frame hardware, reducers, springs, etc ).
What about my sag, rebound, and compression settings?
Due to the in-depth service that will be completed, these settings will need to be readjusted to match your preferences. We make note of your current settings before testing the item, this will be provided on the techicians work report.
I need my suspension serviced ASAP, do you have an expedited option?
Kinda - most of the year we can turn around service work within 2-3 working days. If you’ve left it until the week of your Alps trip and panic has set-in then we can still help! Elro offers a same day, in-house turnaround time - An additional £50 GBP fee will be added to your Factory Service charge for a single product and a £70 GBP fee will be added for two or more products sent in. Think of its as a Fast Pass like in theme parks.
Can I upgrade the components of my suspension when it is in for servicing?
You sure can… When submitting your service request you can add it into the notes section, then when the service team reaches back out to you to confirm you can chat with your suspension tech. Alternatively, you can reach out to us first.
How do I pay?
As soon as your product is ready to be shipped back, we will email you an invoice with payment link or provide bank details. Sorry we can not take payments over the phone.
